Trackmobile® mobile railcar movers
serve all industries, all over the world.
The cement industry is enjoying
unprecedented growth driven by construction demand in turn fueled by
unprecedented low interest rates. We at Trackmobile® have a 49-year history with cement producers and users beginning on July 1,
1954.
On that date we shipped a model 2TM to Dacotah Cement in Scotts
Bluff, Nebraska. Since “Putt-Putt,” Terminal Manager
Larry Hill’s affectionate name for his car mover, was put into service
it has moved thousands of loads beginning with 75 ton railcars in the
1950’s that have grown to big 130 ton gondolas of the 21st century. Today “Senior Asset” Putt-Putt continues to move loads, but
enjoys a pampered life of regular servicing and a cozy home in a
heated garage. |
